Breaker Panel Upgrades:
Your main service panel is the heart of your electrical system and an upgrade is a huge safety improvement to your home. Specifically, it is an upgrade from an existing panel to a new panel equipped with today's technology. In short, it will be able to handle all of the new appliances and technical devices that many of us have in our homes today that require additional power. A "service change" not only includes an upgrade in your electric panel, but also an upgrade in your meter socket, wire size, and grounding system.

Aluminum Wiring
Aluminum wiring was installed and used in roughly 1.5 million homes built between 1965 & 1973. Homes that are wired with aluminum wiring are at a high risk for having loose connections which is a major fire hazard. What happens is that over time aluminum wiring tends to expand and contract causing loose connections, deterioration, and eventually failure. While aluminum wire is still used today in some circumstances, copper wiring is the preferred method in homes throughout the United States. If you have aluminum wiring in your home it is strongly recommended that you have a licensed electrician evaluate the condition of the wiring.
